Want to add a little gold to your bright oak desk? It is a home office with brass lighting, charcoal input devices, and green plants. Let’s take a look at the placement in the photo and the conditions for choosing a reference product.

A spoonful of brass on top of the warmth of wood. Rather than placing a lot of objects on the bright desktop, I first left space for my hands to move. In this desk tour, pay attention to where you leave out as much as what you add, and how each material and color connects.

Wood desk styling completed with oak desk and charcoal appliances
The starting point for this setup is the light oak desktop. Since the desk occupies the largest area of the screen, it sets the mood before small props. The beige walls and curtains gently connect the wood color, and the black monitor and charcoal input device in the center create a clear center. This is why the work space does not look dull while maintaining warmth.
If you look at the front photo, the monitor and keyboard are gathered in the center, and the lights and flower pots are at different heights on both sides. Even if things aren't placed completely symmetrically, if the central work area is organized, the whole thing will look stable. A thin lighting arm was placed on the left and a plant with spreading leaves was placed on the right to create a change in shape around the angled screen.
If you are already using a wood desk, rather than replacing it with the same model, try organizing the colors above desktop. When small items like chargers or stationery are scattered in various colors, leaving only the frequently used items and moving the rest to drawers can make a difference. Use oak, charcoal, and brass colors as a standard, but there is no need to match all the accessories.
