Centering the wide wood with black
The wood grain of desktop is widely exposed, and the black screen and mat overlap in the center. A row of bright drawers below the monitor connects the two colors. I couldn't confirm from the photo what kind of tree desktop was and whether the legs were electric or manual, so I focused on color and shape.
Before adding lighting, start by looking at the dark areas of your current desk. The role of the place where you open the notebook and the role of lighting the wall background may be different.
