Bedroom Desk Lighting: Give Ambient and Task Lights Different Jobs
Look separately at the light spreading across the wall and the light reaching your hands. Using this setup’s two dome-shaped lamps and long light bar as a reference, check screen reflections, lighting heights and accessory placement in sequence.

The yellow tone of a photo does not establish color temperature or real brightness. These are placement checks to carry out in your own room, not a performance review of the pictured lights. The supplied photos were recomposed into landscape 16:9 styling images using generative tools; extended areas cannot reveal the actual room size.
Notice which surfaces receive the ambient light
One small dome-shaped lamp sits on the right of the desk and another on the shelf beside the bed. Warmth comes not just from the sources themselves, but from light spreading onto the wall and white desktop. Before comparing shade shapes, decide which surfaces in your own room you want to brighten.
Wall color and surface sheen change the effect even at the same position. Start with one lamp, observe the light on the nearby wall, then decide whether a second is needed.

Check the paper and keyboard separately when working
A scene lit by mood lamps may look cozy without providing enough light for writing or detailed work. Open your notebook at the time you normally use it, write a few lines and look for the shadow cast by your hand. Check whether you can direct light toward the area that needs it.
The long bar in the photo forms a horizontal line above the screen, but its light distribution and mounting method are unverified. Before recreating the arrangement, check the actual product’s permitted fixing method and mounting surface.
