DESK TOUR
Black home office desk tour, combination of charcoal wall and wood monitor shelf
This is a home office with charcoal walls, a black desk, a black mesh chair, a long wood shelf, and warm lighting. We look at six points, from the placement of monitors and speakers to the tools on the mat, window light, and surface texture.

- color combination
- Charcoal/black background / wood tone / silver point
- placement
- Central monitor, left and right speakers, front input device
- photo composition
- Front view, diagonal lines on both sides, composition viewed from above, details
- space and products
- Actual measurements, model, and user occupation unconfirmed, refer to home office layout
Even the same black object can be distinguished from one another by having different light-receiving sides, heights, and surfaces. In this space, horizontal lines of wood shelves tie back appliances, and a mat at the front divides the handwriting area. Let's read the structure shown in the photo and the conditions to check at your desk.
The neat left and right arrangement is visible from the front, and the surface of the mat and mouse are visible first in the close photo. Let's look at the same space in five compositions and read how the colors and positions of objects are connected.
One horizontal line on a dark background
Charcoal walls and black desktop calmly tie the large surface together. The wood-toned stand placed in between extends long below the monitor, creating a line where the eye rests. Even if the wood color does not spread throughout the room, one long side is enough to create a warm impression.
If you're trying a similar combination, decide where you want the wood colors to gather before adding different decorations to each black device. It's easier to control color if you start with an object that has a clear area, like a small tray or stand. It is not possible to determine the tree species or solid wood just by looking at the wood grain in the photo.
