DESK GUIDE / color combination
Wood, Black, Silver desk styling Guide, How to Combine Colors and Textures
When mixing a dark wood desk with black furniture and silver appliances, look at area and shine rather than the number of colors. The placement of desktop that leaves wood grain, the position where black is repeated, and the relationship between the metal surface and the light background were organized in order.

1. Choose the widest side first
In this shot, the wood grain of the desktop is central. desktop With mats and organizers, decide which areas you want to reveal before covering the whole thing. Even the same brown color can have different red and yellow colors, so it is best to compare them from a position where they are visible from the floor.
When viewed from the front of the desk and the entrance to the room, the large surface may look different. When you sit down, the wood grain of desktop is the center of attention, but from a distance, it comes into the rear cabinet and floor as well. Rather than taking pictures of desktop alone, compare them with a composition that shows the different wood colors in the room together.
If you are using the existing desktop, rather than purchasing a large mat first, place your notebook and input device on it and check which side you need. You can start by dividing the parts where you want to show the wood color and the parts where you actually use your hands.

2. Black repeats from a distance
The black color is not only present on the chair, but also continues on the rear storage cabinet, the right stand, and the screen. Repeating the same color at different heights reduces the feeling of one object being placed separately. Start by matching the color of small objects, such as lights, with the existing chair.
In this photo, black is off the mesh seat seat, rear storage cabinet, and task light on the right. If you want to tie in color without buying a lot of new furniture, try placing the black items you already have so they appear at different heights. Grouping items in the same corner and repeating colors throughout the room creates a different impression.
