How to Fit a Desk Beside Your Bed: Five Steps for Storage and Easy Movement
Before filling the space beside your bed with furniture, reserve room to pull out the chair and open drawers. Using this white desk as a reference, work through movement, desktop layout, vertical shelving and lower storage in that order.

The styling images were recomposed into landscape 16:9 views using generative tools and supplied photos. They reference the original layout and atmosphere; extended areas cannot be used to judge the actual room size.
1. Walk the route from bed to desk
Measure the available wall length and depth, then try getting out of bed, pulling back the chair and sitting down. If the furniture has not arrived, mark its outline on the floor with paper or tape to compare positions. The apparent gaps in the photo are not room measurements.
Also check the space needed to lean over when making the bed, open the door and reach an outlet. If any movement is blocked, adjust the desk direction or shelf position before adding more storage.

2. Place your keyboard and notebook before allocating storage
Clear the desktop and position the keyboard and pointing device you normally use. If you work on paper, open your actual notebook and turn its pages. Reserve that area before placing the screen and accessories so you can see when decoration starts to squeeze out usable space.
The photo places two compact input devices at the front and raises the screen behind them. If your devices or writing area are larger, try moving one accessory to a shelf before adding a riser.
